so i'm nearing the last year of high school and will be having to go to university in two years. I also have the game flight simulator X but my desktop (Dell medion nearing 7-8 years old: 2.5ghz, 256 mb ddr sdram, 80 gig hard drive) can't run the game, but its still great for everything else... i was wondering whats a good laptop (running microsoft os) that around 1200 - 1800.

What i want is something wit at least 2.3ghz, and a lot more of everything else to last me a whileWhat is a good laptop to get which can support Flight simulator X?

Will the aluminum macbook pro run a flight simulator well?
Hey guys I was wondering of the new aluminum macbook pro with completely decked out 15" 2.53 4gb 320gb at 7200 hard drive (minus the 2.8ghz processor) would be able to run flight simulator x any good. I've heard mixed things, and apple is well known for not being gaming machines, especially since we are talking laptops. Any help is appreciated.Will the aluminum macbook pro run a flight simulator well?
The Macbook Pro comes standard with a 9400, with the option of a 9600GT mobile. Both should run current flight simulators, and the 9600 should run even demanding ones on high settings. Flight simulator X claims to only need a 32MB video card, so I venture that you could run it even on the lowly 9400 model with everything on highest settings at a steady 60FPS.

I bought microsoft flight simulator x and when I install it, it's no where to be found on my computer?
It installs and you can play it but the second you close it you can't get it back without installing it again. Normally when you install something an icon is created on the desktop, but there is nothing. Even under programs there's nothing at all about the flight simulator even though it took an hour to install. Do you have to install the game for an hour every time you want to play it or what? first run a check on you computer either do it in the start menu or the my computer i would use star menu... if not jst re install it and go to the advanced installation and choose where to save i would save it to the hard drive I boguht cod waw it was fifty bucks and my computer wont even run it: (

Flight Simulator 2004 add-ons question?
I got Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight. On www.ign.com it says that that are about 8-9 add-ons for this game. I want to know if the add-ons like"Flight Deck Version 4.0" are whole separate games or if they load the planes and ships or whatever is in that game into Flight Simulator. I just don't want to spend my money on a game that i won't even play
