I've always been interested in flying airplanes, and was wondering if an online flight simulator game is a good option to get my feet wet. Can you guys recommend anything? Are Flight Simulator Online Games a good way to learn how to fly?
Well they are not certified to teach you how to fly but they are proven to develop SOME flight sense skills of course if you are truly interested to learn how to fly you can take a flying class and that would be the best way to learn how to fly...Happy flying! Are Flight Simulator Online Games a good way to learn how to fly?
I'm in the same boat, the thought of flying a real plane is so attractive to me but it can also be scary. So I've decided to learn a little through some online simulations. There are a number of flight simulators online that you can choose from but a friend of mine recommended proflightsimulator and the microsoft simulator. The microsoft simulator you would need to purchase the software the cd, with the other one it's a simple download. I have both and they're pretty decent. Are Flight Simulator Online Games a good way to learn how to fly?
I'm not sure about flight simulator online games, but microsoft flight simulator games are excellent. When I was a student pilot, I found some manuevers easier to do in real life, like using just instruments to line yourself up with the runway on dark nights. I also found that if I flew there first in the simulator, I was able to recognize landmarks that helped me find my way easier (before we had GPS put into the plane). I would recommend MS FSX if you have a strong gaming rig (esp. CPU), if not, I would get the version before that (MS FS 2004), as it runs on highest settings with much weaker computer specs.
Depends if you want to stay cheap or free. Do that on line for pro flight.

But if your looking into real flight Both Real World and Simulator world. then you need to get one of the MS Flight Simulator Games

Also, Many Real World Flight Student"s are being told by many Flight instructor's. To go and buy the MS Flight Simulator, It don't count as real flight time, But used as a tool.
