Does a joy stick really make a difference in the experience one has in playing flight simulator games?

I have a play station 3 and have recently purchased a flight simulator game called Heroes Over Europe. I've been playing it with the regular PS3 Controler. However, I have been getting mixed reviews on the playing experience that a joy stick provides. If there is any one who has purchased a joy stick to play a flight simulator game can you please give me your honest opinion? yes it certainly does.

it's like driving a car w/out a steering wheel.

i know, pilots swear they pilot the car as much with the brakes and accelerator then w/ the steering wheel, but w/out the wheel, it simply doesn't work, does it?

same for the flight simulator, certainly if you wish to make it as real as can be (which, w/ a war flight sim is maybe not your primary interest?) a stick is a whole difference.Does a joy stick really make a difference in the experience one has in playing flight simulator games?
It's a great experience to use joystick in a fight simulator game. You will really feel like your driving an airplane. It will complete your game to the highest level of fun. Combining curves and sharp angles will make your game full of excitement.
