I want to run it quite well not on low graphics i want medium high or higher is it ok? + will my pc get damaged from it due to heat and burning out if i play it too often? Can this laptop Spec handle a game like Flight Simulator X?
If you try some of the tweaks at http://www.flightsimx.co.uk/?p=27 you may be in with a chance. People with much higher spec desktops are hitting some real problems. I'm running on a laptop with similar specs to yours and I'm getting around 20fps and smooth flying in most instances, running at medium settings. Set everything to high and I'm looking at as low as 3 fps in some situations. Aces Studios are supposedly working on a patch. Performance is not good, even on high-end machines. So bad, that a lot of 3rd party developers are putting development for FSX on hold until the situation is resolved.
Check out the forums on www.avsim.com for more info.
Heat shouldn't be an issue. If it got really bad, your laptop should shut down to save itself from damage, but check your spec to make sure it has this facility. Can this laptop Spec handle a game like Flight Simulator X?
The processor can handle it pretty well I have played Quake3 on a much lower configuration on Dell Laptop (Intel Centrino - 1.2 Ghz and 512 MB RAM without that Hyperthreading you mentioned) and there was absolutely no problemCan this laptop Spec handle a game like Flight Simulator X?
I would think these are the min system requirements, provided in the first link so I dont thik you have problem there, you may have a problem with heat issues though, as lap tops are so confined inside as you know, and running cpu/memory/graphics intensive software will maybe cause problems, if any thing you may start and get BSOD playing the game, the joys of pc gaming,ah well!!
Should run OK, minimum spec is low so don't see a problem but then again Microsoft are notorious for giving very low minimum spec for there software when in reality requires more.
However the Graphics card in your lab top seams to be a reasonable one so i think you should be able to run at at least medium settings
