I had a version they came out like 6 years ago or so
ALL I would do is take off and then land in the same airport how do you fly from airport to airport
and do you really have to stay there for hours in the air, cruising thats really boringWhat is the point of the game ,,flight simulator?
Actually, there is quite a bit to do in FS if you know what you need. It sounds like you have FS98 or older with no GPS so the first thing I would do is upgrade to at least FS 2002. The graphics are much better and there are several training programs in it.
The process of creating a flight plan and executing it are too long to go into here, but you can speed up the clock on your flights to cut the time down. In the newer versions, you can use your mouse or the following keystrokes: Alt, O, M, (look at the menu that has popped up and decide how fast you want to go %26amp; press the underlined # for that speed.) You can also use these keystrokes to return you to normal time using Alt, O,M,N.
If you want to start using the other gauges in the aircraft, go to the Map option. Click on the blue spots and write down the frequencies you see. Play with using them when you are near them and you will be able to start flying farther and farther.
Don鈥檛 give up on it. FS can be lots of fun and it will teach you quite a bit about flying once you learn how to use all of the information you have available to you.
Enjoy
