Which Pentium processor would be most suitable for Fight Simulator games?

I am looking at buying a processor mainly for gaming i.e. Microsoft Flight Simulator X and similar titles. With all the different processors available, I have been looking at an Intel Q6600 Core2 Quad 2.4GHz Processor - Retail 1066MHz FSB, 8MB Cache (I don鈥檛 know what the 鈥楻etail鈥?in the description means) and, I would appreciate some advice before I make a final decision, on this processor or a Similarly priced alternative.Which Pentium processor would be most suitable for Fight Simulator games?
the Q6600 is a pretty good processor, for a great price (have one in me/my friend's gaming rig)

Retail simply means that the manufacturer 'boxed' it for retail, while OEM means that it come with the actual item ONLY (ie, no heatsink/fan, just the processor)

OEM can save a bit on money, especially if you are planning on buying a third party CPU cooler, but if you were planning on just "plug-n-playing' the CPU, retail might be best

btw, i would advise newegg, com if ur planning on buying online (fast shipping, great RMAs, great prices)

also, the Q6600 is NOT based on the Pentium cores (seperate family)
there are two types OEM and retail. i suggest u get retail. thats a pretty good processor u got thereWhich Pentium processor would be most suitable for Fight Simulator games?
p4 core 2
hold up for a month or so - the newer 45nm chips are on their way to market - cooler, faster, better.Which Pentium processor would be most suitable for Fight Simulator games?
its not so much the processor that runs a game like Microsoft flight simulator well as much as it is the graphics card, but if you already have a good graphics card in your computer then i would go ahead and buy the Intel core 2 duo E6850 processor, it is one of the fastest on the market today and it sells for $280 on newegg.com
I suggest you get AMD processor for gaming. AMD processors performs well on gaming than Pentium. My experience on these two different processors speaks, I'm with AMD for gaming...try it.
Q6600 is great for gaming once you overclock it to at least 3.0gHz. If you will not overclock, consider the faster Core2 Duos like the E6750 or E6850 or the newer E8200 or E8400 that have 6Mb L2 cache.

Retail PIB (Processor In Box) comes complete with heatsink/cooling fan. OEM (tray) is just the chip. Overclockers prefer this because they will put high performance cooling solution.
That's a good processor, if you want to have a more powerful PC. Use 45nm Core 2 Extreme, unfortunately the price is more than US$ 1000. Yeah, basically Core 2 Quad Q6600 is a great processor.
