Flight Simulator X Gates At Toronto Person Airport?

On the game flight simulator x i landed and went over to the gates. why don't the Gates move to my planes door? It ia at Toronto Person Airport IntFlight Simulator X Gates At Toronto Person Airport?
as the name suggests, a flight simulator simulates flying, from taking off to landing; most flight simulator programs nowadays come with extended airport tracks allowing for taxiing up to the gateways, but THAT'S IT (!)

FSes are about planes, not about airports;

most FSes included many airports and their runaways as well as taxiways as those can be described easily enough with a few informations (length, width, altitude, asphalt or grass); gates are a completely different story; nearly every airport has different gates, every major airport has a number of different gates (did you ever see an Airbus A320 next to a 747? obviously, the two planes can't dock at the same gates, can they?)

to include all the informations needed to represent this, for all (major) airports in the world, a flight simulator would not need a few thousant MEGAbytes, but a few thousand GIGAbytes.

maybe FSXV in 10 yrs or so will include this, but for now, we'll have to be happy to shut down the engines after parking next to the airport.

BTW: how did you set the realism of your flight simulation? if you are able to land a jet chances are the realism is set pretty low; try to land a Jet (even a 737 or a A320) with realism set to high. maybe then you'll learn to appreciate the satisfaction of parking your plane and shut off then engines without worrying about gates %26gt;:)
