For an example is the guy in the movie, Snakes in a Plane (which obviously is not based on true happenings), He was able to successfully do an emergency landing because he was experienced in flight simulator games. Flying a real plane is far different than sitting at a game console. This has never happened.Is there news about an ordinary flight simulator game player saving people from a plane crash?
It is possible but not probable, and I have never heard of it actually happening.

The was NO emergency with the aircraft itself in the movie.



This same premise is used in several films, and I note that airlines AND the government BOTH use flight simulators in training, ALONG WITH actual flight time.
