I want a flight simulator game, but I don't know which one to get. Tell me the difference between both of them and tell me which one I should get. What is the difference between Flight Simulator 2004 and Flight Simulator X?
Okay, it all depends on where you live, what computer you are using and if you want so many add-ons or so much graphics.
Well, considering all of these, you should decide what to buy. Flight simulator 2004 uses a bit less graphics and is pretty old. But you can relatively make it modern by installing various addons, from websites such as www.flightsim.com or www.avsim.com. And you could get highly realistic Aircraft traffic by www.world-of-ai.com. And also, it's better to get fs2004 if you have a computer having aspects other than these :-
Pentium core two duo (Or greater) Speed 2.6 Ghz.
1GB RAM (or greater)
I don't know about VGA but it should be high.
DirectX 10
etc......
But if you do have a great computer, FSX is a great game. It has awesome graphics and performance. The sound and traffic is greatly improved more than the fs2004. In FSX, you have challenges to complete and you get medals, trophies and things. You also get highly instructive tutorials to learn the basics of the game. FSX is really fun.
And also, consider about the price. I saw Fs2004 in Australia for 49.99 dollars and FSX also for 49.99. But I saw FSX deluxe for 89.99. So, depending on the price of the two games, you should consider it.
Be practical, even if you think FSX is good, you computer might not have the requirements to play it well.
Good luck. I hope you are able to buy what you liked and what can be played. What is the difference between Flight Simulator 2004 and Flight Simulator X?
Flight simulator x is more detailed, ad has better graphics, the jetways work, a baggage car comes to the aircraft, and there is a functional pushback vehichle. Flight sim 2004 doesn't.
