I'm looking to buy a flight simulator game?

Can anyone advise me on the best PC flight simulator game to purchase, I don't play a lot of games so I'm looking for something quite basic. I'v been told that "Flight Simulator X" is good, if so do I need to purchase a joystick to make using the game easier?

PS I don't want to combat or dog fight in the sky, just cruise the world, Many thanks TI'm looking to buy a flight simulator game?
I've played a few different flight simulator games, but the best is ProFlightSimulator - good graphics and incredibly realistic gameplay make it the best one. If you have never played a flight simulator game before, it does take a bit of getting used to (although you could say that for any of them), and the set up guide for ProFlightSimulator is designed with beginners in mind. Flight simulator X is the best simulator out there. Why?

- You pretty much have the full world to explore, with all the airports and views.

- Graphics are outstanding.

- Realistic and challenging, especially with large planes.
